Visa Information

Travelling to Australia for Netgames 2007 will require a visa for most international participants. For the majority of people your visa application may be done online if you qualify for Subclass 977 - Business (Short Validity) ETA (Electronic Travel Authority). Types of visas and appropriate application procedures will vary depending on your country of citizenship/origin.

The "BUSINESS VISITOR VISA INFORMATION (General Guide Only)" provides a summary of the Australian Government's visa issuing policy relevant to Netgames 2007 attendees.

The Government's immigration website also provides additional information (conference attendees should check under 'Visitors' for Business visas).

Some visa applicants may be required to show evidence that they are attending a conference in Australia. Netgames2007 will not be providing "letters of invitation". Instead, you should present your registration confirmation (receipt) that is generated once you have registered online for Netgames 2007. (Paper authors may also wish to present a copy of the program and their EDAS-generated acceptance notification.)
