Centre closure

As part of a broader organisational restructure, data networking research at Swinburne University of Technology has moved from the Centre for Advanced Internet Architecture (CAIA) to the Internet For Things (I4T) Research Lab.

Although CAIA no longer exists, this website reflects CAIA's activities and outputs between March 2002 and February 2017, and is being maintained as a service to the broader data networking research community.

Standard evaluation scenarios to help researchers evaluate their proposed modifications to TCP.

Overview

The TCP evaluation test suite proposed in IETF draft Common TCP Evaluation Suite draft-irtf-tmrg-tests-02 defines the following key test scenarios:

    • Dial up
    • Wireless
  2. Delay/throughput trade-off as a function of queue size
  3. Flow ramp up time
  4. Transients
  5. Impact on standard TCP traffic
  6. Intra-protocol fairness
  7. Multiple Bottlenecks
